Edward practises primarily in criminal law and appellate advocacy in the ACT. He has appeared unled in the ACT Court of Appeal and in jury and judge-alone trials in the ACT Supreme Court.
Before coming to the Bar, Edward was a trial and appellate advocate with Legal Aid ACT, where his practice was weighted toward complex, high-profile, and legally significant matters. He also served as a federal prosecutor, receiving the Director’s Award for Excellence in 2018. Additionally, he supervised the Civil Litigation practice of Legal Aid ACT, led the ACT Tenancy Advice Service and managed insolvency litigations at the Attorney-General’s Department.
Edward was a tipstaff to the Honourable Justice Elizabeth Fullerton SC of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He represented his university as Senior Counsel at the Cowdery Criminal Law Moot 2013 and at the Oxford University Price Media Law Moot 2014, placing as eighth best oralist and reaching the Quarterfinals.
