Tony is a barrister focusing predominantly in Family Law, including both parenting and property matters, following the breakdown of a marriage or a de facto relationship.
Tony was admitted as a solicitor NSW in 1990, and following his admission spent about 8 years working in Sydney suburban and city firms practising Family Law, Family Provision, Wills & Estates, Equity, Commercial litigation, Insolvency (personal and corporate), and conveyancing before making the leap to join the Bar.
As a solicitor Tony sat on the Family Law Committee in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Tony also sat on the Law Society Professional Conduct Committee in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2012, 2022 (part). Tony also sat on the Southwestern Health Research and Ethics Committee in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Tony first joined the NSW Bar in 1999. He read on 11 St James Hall from February 1999 to March 2000. Tony was previously a member of University Chambers from March 2000 to December 2002, and 8 Wentworth from January 2003 to 2007.
During the period 2008 to 2022, Tony returned to practice in NSW as a solicitor advocate predominantly in all areas of family and most recently before his return to the Bar in the arears of Family Provision, Wills & Estates, Equity, Insolvency and Commercial Litigation. In 2013 Tony achieved Law Society Specialist Accreditation in Family Law by Peer nomination.
Tony returned to the NSW Bar in 2022 and practises predominantly in all areas of family law and in doing so he draws on his commercial, equity and insolvency experience especially in property cases involving, trusts, tax, corporate or insolvency issues.
Tony accepts briefs to appear in city, regional and interstate registries of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
