Vicki Geraghty is a barrister known for direct, strategic advocacy and for advancing difficult cases where the evidence supports it. She practises in family law, crime and succession, with a busy appearance practice. Practising across these areas, she is particularly effective in matters involving intersecting issues across the jurisdictions. She appears regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in complex parenting matters and contested interim hearings, and is frequently appointed as an Independent Children’s Lawyer. She also appears in criminal and succession proceedings.
Before coming to the Bar, Vicki held senior executive roles in education and governance. That experience underpins her ability to analyse decision-making, engage with statutory frameworks, and manage complex disputes with structure and clarity. She accepts briefs across her core areas and in selected commercial and public law matters, including contracts, governance and administrative law.
Vicki is responsive, well-prepared, and easy to brief. She works closely with solicitors to develop and execute a clear strategy from the outset.
