Article by Peter Woulfe: Video surveillance material in merits reviews proceedings

Peter Woulfe recently appeared leading Andrew Schofield in the matter of K&S Freighters Pty Ltd v King, which was heard in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and subsequently on judicial review application in the Federal Court of Australia. The case raised significant issues regarding the ability of a merits review tribunal to make directions which have the effect of abrogating legal professional privilege and the use of video surveillance material in merits review proceedings. Peter has written an article titled Video Surveillance Material in Merits Review Proceedings, which was published in the February 2026, ACT Bar Bulletin. The article discusses the case and some of its broader implications.
